Pattern: Baby Surprise Jacket (Ravelry link), by Elizabeth Zimmermann
Yarn: Blue Moon Socks That Rock - Heavyweight
Colorway: Puck's Mischief
This project doesn't really need an introduction, but it's a recent FO. My niece is about to have a baby and I've been wanting to try out this pattern and this yarn for a very long time. It's a great combination. I will make this again. I would really make anything this incredible woman designed.

tabula rasa
Hello! I'll start. Right here.
I didn't think I would actually do this, but I am. I've been reading blogs for many years. First, it was those of crafty sort of people who generally made things out of stuff like material and paper. They were fun to read and inspiring, but what I've tended to do myself the last few years has been knitting, so I kept thinking about that and wondered if anyone ever blogged about doing it.
Then I discovered knitting blogs. Then Ravelry started and the world changed. Now I talk to people there and even talk to other people in person about knitting sometimes. But this might be a good sort of diary. Since my notebook's getting full.
